Big Four (Hong Kong)

The Big Four is an all-male Hong Kong musical group formed by Dicky Cheung, Andy Hui, William So, and Edmond Leung in 2009. They released their first self-titled single in 2009, in which the single topped most of Hong Kong's music charts. Their next single, "Unable to Love" (愛莫能助) in 2010, which also topped charts and received consistent airplay for many weeks.

The Big Four held their first concert, The Big Four World Tour, for five days in the Hong Kong Coliseum from March 11 to 15.

The first television program hosted by them and named as "Big Four大四喜" was also released in May 2010.

Dicky Cheung, Andy Hui, William So and Edmond Leung to replace "Be My Guest"

In 2006, TVB’s GM Stephen Chan started hosting the show <> for TVB’s pay channel, a core program that has been popular since its inception. With Stephen Chan’s arrest on alleged corruption charges last month, he has been suspended from all TVB-related duties and his program will also be halted. After the pre-recorded last episode of the show (episode #159 with guest May Fung) airs, it will be replaced by a show hosted by the group Big Four (Dicky Cheung, Andy Hui, William So, Edmond Leung) called «Big Four大四喜».

Yesterday, TVB’s Manager of External Affairs Tsang Sing Ming made the announcement about the new program. He expressed that «Big Four大四喜» will be a brand new program; the 4 hosts will start recording the first episode in April and there will be a total of 13 episodes (airing once a week). The format of the show will be interviews with guests as well as a musical component and will start airing in mid-April. The details of the program are still under discussion amongst the production team at TVB, therefore the interview guest for the first episode has not been decided yet.

The show <> aired its first episode on June 3, 2006 and will end with its last episode (#159) next month. The guest for the first episode was Connie Chan Po-Chu and throughout its 4 year run, over 100 celebrities and famous people have been interviewed, including HK SAR Chief Executive Donald Tsang. In addition, the show has also been distributed worldwide via DVD. Last year, the show drew some criticism from viewers when clips from its interview with artist Gillian Chung (her first official interview responding to the sex photo scandal from previous year) were aired during TVB’s regular news broadcast – audiences criticized the arrangement as ‘inappropriate’ for a news program.
